Has your Reclaimed Teak been treated for pests?

Teak has a naturally very high oil and silica content, both of which make Teak extremely pest and rot resistant. That being said, Teak is not impervious to pests so we make sure that we fumigate all of our containers to Australia Customs standards as part of the Australian Fumigation Accreditation Scheme. We use this as the benchmark as Australia is well known for having the strictest pest control standards in the world.

We do not add any extra harmful chemicals to our Teak as it is generally unnecessary and can be dangerous, especially with children, animals and on any high touch surfaces (like furniture).
